Alex Kayat is the mum to two young gifted children. Originally from the States, she has been living in New Zealand since early 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS), having worked in emergency departments in the USA and in acute care in New Zealand. She is also the past president and past executive director of the New Zealand Physician Associate Society (NZPAS). As her two young children keep her busy, she has stepped away from medicine for the time being, but has a keen interest in neurodiversity, specifically the profoundly gifted and the 2e experience.
