We will present the latest research findings from the international study examining the prevalence of overexcitabilities in highly-profoundly gifted children and adolescents. The findings will be contextualized through examples from the research. Dabrowski’s human development theory will be incorporated to examine the distinct development and developmental potential found in individuals experiencing multiple high overexcitabilities. Finally, a parent’s journey to better understanding greater-than-typical sensitivities, intensities, and awareness will be shared along with helpful insights and recommendations.
