Rebecca (Becki) M. Johnson, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral research associate at Purdue University. She earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, Gifted and Talented Education from the University of North Texas. Her experience as an educator and parent has led to research interests including social-emotional well-being of gifted individuals, parenting in the context of high/profound giftedness, creativity, and access to academic opportunities for gifted students from diverse backgrounds. She was assistant editor of Journal of Advanced Academics, 2020-2022; co-chair of NAGC’s Research and Evaluation Network Graduate Student Committee, 2021-2023; assistant program chair for NAGC’s Research and Evaluation Network, 2023-2025; and currently serves as program chair for NAGC’s Research and Evaluation Network. Her work has been published in Gifted Child Quarterly, Journal for the Education of the Gifted, SENG, Journal of Creativity, High Ability Studies, Teaching for High Potential, and Parenting for High Potential.
